About the ARTist
Hi! I'm Kathryn, I'm the artist behind Kathryn Trively Art.
I'm an Austin native, graduated from Austin High School, attending Texas A&M University and graduated from Concordia University with a bachelor's degree in Behavioral Science.
I'm married to my wonderful husband, Hunter, and we have 3 amazing kids! When I'm not "mommying" I am always doing something creative whether it's creating new 3d pop art, balloon garlands, painting banners or planning some type of event. The creativity is always flowing! :)
More about my art style...
I'm a 3d mixed media artist creating playful, sculptural works built from tens to thousands of miniature plastic doll shoes. What began as a fascination with color, pattern, and nostalgia has grown into a body of work that blends pop culture with fine art.

My pieces explore memory, femininity, and the objects we associate with aspiration and play. By transforming familiar childhood icons into graphic, mosaic-style compositions, I aim to reframe nostalgia as something layered and intentional—not sentimental, but thoughtfully constructed. Each work is assembled by hand, one shoe at a time, turning mass-produced objects into singular, collectible art.

At the heart of my practice is contrast: whimsy balanced with restraint, humor paired with precision. Whether working in bold color fields, structured patterns, or sculptural embellishments, I’m interested in how repetition and material elevate something playful into something lasting.

My work is created in limited quantities and often released as part of a series, allowing each piece to feel both connected and distinct. Every artwork comes with a certificate of authenticity and is made with longevity in mind—designed to live confidently in both curated collections and lived-in spaces.

When I’m not in the studio, I’m a mom, a designer at heart, and someone who believes art should feel approachable, fun, and a little unexpected. Welcome to my world—where tiny heels make a big statement.
